Sweet handcrafted mini witch’s broom, also known as a besom. Decorated with a triquetra symbol and a dark green gemmy Tourmaline crystal. Made locally. Size approx 25cm.

The witch’s broom, called a besom, is a traditional tool to sweep away unwanted, negative energy. Besom comes from the root old English word ‘besma’ (meaning broom). They have been used since ancient times to cleanse and purify spaces, protect homes, and prepare sacred spaces for ceremonial / ritual use. The ancient Celts would also often have a besom for the bride and groom to jump over at their hand fastening (wedding).
