WHAT IS A MALA?

Mala beads (aka yoga beads or japamalas) are rooted in Hinduism and Buddhism, created some 3,000 years ago in India. The mala bead necklace is meant to help you focus your mind during meditation or yoga practice, and enhance your spiritual practise in general.

The necklace traditionally has 108 beads, with one bead being the largest. This largest bead in the centre is the ‘guru’. It is said to hold the energy generated during your practice.

A special knotting technique called ‘overhead knotting’ makes the necklace stronger while also providing a space, “japa” during the counting beads meditation.

Counting the beads is an ancient mindfulness meditation with deep reaching benefits in your life. You can incorporate it into your regular meditation and or yoga sessions, and even use the beads to assist in mitigating anxiety, stress or concentration issues.

MAGNESITE CRYSTAL HEALING

Magnesite is a calming stone that helps you take action and reach your goals. It combats selfishness, boisterousness and vulgarity. Meditating with Magnesite can help you to connect with the higher realms. This allows higher frequencies into the upper chakras, stimulating spiritual awakening and growth.

TIGER’S EYE CRYSTAL HEALING

Gold Tiger’s Eye is a protective stone that combines earth energy with sun energy to create a grounded high vibration. It can show the correct use of power and bring out integrity. A wonderful aid in accomplishing goals, recognising inner resources and promoting clarity of intention.

Tiger’s Eye is helpful for those who space out or battle with committing. Useful for recognising your own and others’ needs. Aids in collecting scattered information to make a whole. It helps resolve dilemmas and internal conflicts. Supports healing of personality disorders, issues of self-worth and blocked creativity and expression.

Tiger’s Eye may assist in helping differentiate between wishful thinking about what you want vs what you really need. It can help you see your own talents and abilities, as well as your faults to overcome. Supports addictive personalities in making a change. Can aid in lifting depression and dark moods.
