Tiger Iron Tumbled Stone.

Also known by the trade name ‘Mugglestone’. Bands of lovely gold Tiger’s Eye, silver Hematite and red Jasper in varying patterns and amounts across the material. Good to A Grade.

GEOLOGICAL:

Tiger Iron consists of layers of vibrant gold Tiger’s Eye (a Chalcedony pseudomorph), metallic silver-grey Hematite, and red Jasper/Chert (an opaque Chalcedony). It is sometimes referred to as ‘Tiger Eye matrix’, or ‘banded Ironstone’. A quartz-lignite aggregate gemstone, Tiger Iron generally produces beautiful banded patterns highlighted when polished.
