These green Aventurine tumbled stones range in colour from light green apple to a deeper dark green. Specks of Fuchsite mica inclusions create a subtle shimmer in areas. Beautiful! Good to A Grade. Choose your size using the dropdown arrow.

 

GEOLOGICAL

Aventurine is a silicon dioxide mineral. It is translucent Quartz crystal with inclusions of tiny flakes or specks of various minerals that give it a sparkly in the light. This sparkle is referred to as ‘aventurescence’. It was named in 1837 after the Italian word “a Ventura”, which means “by chance”.

Colour variances among the different inclusions are a result of the quantity, distribution and quality within the Quartz matrix. Green Aventurine is formed with tiny flakes of Fuchsite, a green Chromium rich Mica.
