Silver Leaf Lepidolite Polished Gallet M-L 

Individually selected material and hand polished. The leaf-like structure has a silvery shimmer, whilst the surrounding Lepidolite is richly coloured with deep, often dark, purple hues and Quartz in the matrix! This is an exceptionally rare and very beautiful material. From Zimbabwe. Very Good to A Grade. Size medium to large. First, select your weight, then your gallet.

 

GEOLOGICAL

Lepidolite is a member of the Mica family. It ranges in colour from a lilac grey to rose pink, to purple and even red and yellow hues. Lepidolite is the most abundant Lithium-bearing mineral. Its name is derived from the Greek word “‘lepidos” for scale and “lithos” for stone. It was originally discovered in the Czech Republic.

Silver Leaf Lepidolite is a beautiful form of Lepidolite that only comes up in very small quantities on the odd occasion! The material has been dubbed ‘silver leaf’ because it has the most vibrant almost bifurcating leaf-like patterns in the material.
