Stunning rare crystalline gem Tanzanite with fully natural blue colour. Exquisite crystal collector’s piece. Tanzanite, the blue variety of Ziosite, is only found along a 4km stretch at Mount Kilimanjaro. The natural colour ranges from grey to brown to violet blue. From Simanjiro District, Manyara, Tanzania. A to AA Grade. Weight approx 1.4g, 7 carats.

 

GEOLOGICAL

Tanzanite belongs to the epidote mineral group and is the name for blue Ziosite. Tanzanite is only found in the Simanjiro District of the Manyara Region in Tanzania, in a very small mining area (approximately 7 km (4.3 mi) long and 2 km (1.2 mi) wide) near the Mererani Hills.
