GEOLOGICAL
Natrolite is part of the Zeolite group. It’s a hydrated Sodium and Aluminium Silicate. Natrolite’s name comes from the Greek ‘natrium’, meaning ‘soda’ – relating to its Sodium content. Natrolite can be pale pink, colourless, white, red, gray, yellow, or green. Some specimens fluoresce under UV light.
Natrolite is both piezoelectric (creates electricity under pressure) and thermoelectric (creates electricity under temperature changes). You can find Natrolite in various formations, including radiating or singular acicular crystals (from hairlike to up to 1m long!), granular and massive.
