GEOLOGICAL
Chiastolite is a variety of Andalusite which has a dark cross running through it. The cross consists of a carbon mineral, mostly graphite. As the Andalusite crystals grow, carbon impurities present in the environment attach to the corners, thus slowing the rate of growth. As this happens, the impurities are absorbed by the growing crystal. The cycle then repeats itself, creating a featherlike pattern of graphite along four radiating ‘arms’.
Chiastolite gets its name from the Greek ‘chiastos’, meaning ‘cross’. In ancient Latin texts from the 1500s Chiastolite is called the ‘Lapis Crucifer’ and was a popular amulet of pilgrims.

Chiastolite
Chiastolite is a highly strength-giving stone. An excellent aid for those who work in service of others. As well as those recovering from setbacks, major life changes and trauma. Chiastolite can open and connect you to your Earth Star chakra, bringing in the calming, deeply supporting and nurturing energy of Mama Gaia.
Fortifying and grounding, Chiastolite will help seal energy leaks and tears in the auric field, consolidating and bolstering energy levels. It is a powerful protection talisman, especially useful in shamanic and dimensional work.
