Optical Calcite, also known as Icelandic Calcite or Icelandic Spar cubic specimen. Really beautiful with rainbows and variable to good clarity. Weight approx 60-80g. You will receive one crystal.

 

GEOLOGICAL

Calcite is a carbonate mineral and the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate. It is colourless or white when pure. Calcite is best recognised by its relatively low Mohs hardness (3) and its high reactivity with even weak acids, such as vinegar. Natural rough Calcite feels smooth and ‘waxy’ to the touch.
