Very pretty sparkling drusy white to cream drusy Calcite cluster on a plate. From Namibia. Good to A Grade. Size approx 7cm. Weight approx 115g.

GEOLOGICAL

Calcite is a carbonate mineral and the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate. It is colourless or white when pure. Calcite is best recognised by its relatively low Mohs hardness (3) and its high reactivity with even weak acids, such as vinegar. Natural rough Calcite feels smooth and ‘waxy’ to the touch.
